New Weight Room and Fitness Center
Seton Catholic Central held a dedication ceremony on Friday morning for its new Weight Room & Fitness Training Center.
The new facility was made possible by Maynard and Megan Fahs and Tim and Kim Myers who coordinated the campaign for the new facility and contributed generously to its development.
The wellness and conditioning equipment includes 3 treadmills, 3 elliptical machines, 2 stationary bicycles and 1 rowing machine.
The strength and weight training equipment includes 3 squat/stand benches, 5 multipurpose benches, 2 dip bars and 1 full lifting cage.
The new equipment replaces outdated apparatus that was decades old. The facility will be used by physical education classes and athletic teams.
This new facility will be an invaluable addition to Seton Catholic Central’s athletic program. Conditioning and targeted weight training is critical to preparing for competition and preventing injuries. We are grateful to the Fahs and Myers families for leading this significant initiative that will benefit all of our students.
We are also grateful to the Catholic Education Foundation and attorney Terry Gallagher who also contributed to this project.
